Competition Programme by Days

20 May 2026 – Opening Ceremony
Official opening of the competition, distribution of starting numbers, skippers’ meeting and introduction to the competition rules. In the evening, dinner will be organized for the competitors.

21 May 2026 – First Competition Day
The day begins with the distribution of welcome packages and bait to competitors, accompanied by a performance of the Poloneza Folklore Group. Food and beverages will be provided for participants. The competition starts at 09:00, followed by full-day fishing until 17:00. At 18:00 the weighing of catches and scoring will take place. After the weighing, visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the largest tuna caught that day. The programme continues with a workshop for children and youth on the prevention of violence in sport and fair play. Dinner and entertainment for competitors begin at 19:30.

22 May 2026 – Second Competition Day
The programme starts with the distribution of bait and a performance by the Poloneza Folklore Group. Food and beverages will be provided. The competition starts at 09:00. At 10:30 educational workshops for children will be held on raising awareness of marine protection, with special emphasis on seagrass Posidonia and the issue of overfishing. Fishing ends at 17:00, followed by weighing and scoring. Visitors will again have the opportunity to take photos with the largest tuna of the day. At 18:00 a sports workshop for children and youth entitled “Preparation of Fishing Equipment” and “Knot Tying Techniques” will take place. The day concludes with dinner for competitors.

23 May 2026 – Third Competition Day
The day begins with the distribution of bait and a performance by the Poloneza Folklore Group. With food and beverages provided, the competition starts at 09:00 and fishing continues until 16:00. Weighing and scoring follow immediately after. Visitors will have the opportunity to take photos with the largest tuna of the day. A closing dinner for competitors is organized at 20:00. At 21:00 the winners will be announced and awards presented, followed by a concert by Maja Šuput.
