Grgić Vina was established in 1996 by legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Croatian-born Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and his daughter, Violet Grgich. Mike started the winery to produce the finest wines from native Dalmatian grapes and concentrates on crafting Croatia’s very best varietals: Plavac Mali and Pošip.
The Matuško Winery is located in the small town of Potomje. Mato Violić, graduate in agriculture, founded his winery in 1998. That was also when the construction of the wine cellar began, which today covers 2,000 square meters underground. This hidden wine kingdom houses approximately 1,000 oak barrels in which the top quality Dingač wine ages for years.
At the foot of Postup is the village of Mokalo, home to the Boutique winery Mikulić. Here you will enjoy the glass of the finest Postup wine, named „Don Josip“, signed by the Mikulić family.
The Violić family cultivates Plavac mali in the Zaguine locality located in the central part of the Pelješac peninsula and produces several exceptional wines of this variety in its cellar: Sagul Selection, Sagul Plavac and Sagul Rose. Sagul Selection is made from hand-picked top quality grapes, and Sagul Dingač creates berries from the steep and southern slopes of Dingač. In their vineyards we can find the traditional Dalmatian variety Rukatac: Sagul Orange and Sagul Rukatac, and the most famous variety from the south of Korcula: Sagul Pošip.
