Dingač
Dingač
The meeting of the sea and the vineyard. A beautiful landscape, and the most beautiful postcard of Dalmatia. This is Dingač. One of the most famous wine-growing places in Croatia. Its 80 hectares are completely planted with Plavac Mali. This variety gives the best results here, in these vineyards.
Here, the reflection of the sun from the surface of the sea and the stone is the strongest. Ideal conditions for the accumulation of sugar in grapes.
Dingač is a powerful wine. Crystal clear, with a dark, ruby-red colour. A characteristic varietal aroma with accentuated spicy components, such as the aroma of prunes and figs, and subtle notes of baked bread. It has a rounded, tart taste, emphasized freshness, full, harmonious, balanced, and soft. After ageing for two years, it has a bitter taste with accentuated and harmoniously mixed remains of residual sugar. Cheers!
Historical fact: On 13 May 1964, the Dingač vineyards received the International Certificate of Quality in Geneva. Thus, it became the first wine in Croatia with a significant international status.
