Pijavičino
Pijavičino
Wild Dalmatian nature

Meeting of harsh stone & fertile fields
This small place is located in a fertile basin along the main road to Pelješac. On your way through the peninsula, why not stop for a glass of excellent wine, a favourite drink, or a traditional Pelješac lunch? You will be attracted by the beauty of the fertile plain, protected by the surrounding hills.

The local nobility used to live here. The remains of the villa are still visible, of which only the Church of St. Catherine still remains. There is also a toreta (tower) with Cvijeto Zlatarić’s 17th century dilapidated fortress. There is an inscription on it that says Built for himself and his descendants, out of love for green groves.
Even today, Pijavičino attracts visitors with its wild Dalmatian nature, the meeting of harsh stone and fertile fields, forests, and vineyards… Beautiful.
